Recently I have been getting flashbacks of an Anime movie I used to watch during my childhood. I was born in '82 and I believe the movie was made between the early 80's to the early 90's.If anybody can help me name the movie it would be greatly appreciated.

In the movie there where monsters that looked like giant beetles, they had many blue circular eyes. Their eyes turned red when angry.

They had thick tentacle legs positioned in front of them that they moved with.

They also had a way of healing wounds with worm-like tentacles that, I believe gold, that came out of the front of their body's.

The main character might have been a female that has some masculan features.

Don't remember much of the plot but the ending is stuck in my head.

The main chartacter is watching the beetle like monster's swarm and destroy cities and put's his/her self in front of them and in turn is injured badly.

The beetles stop their angry charge and release their golden tentacles to left her up in the air and heal her. Some locals cry out about a prophecy being fulfilled about walking on a golden field.

That is really all I remember. I believe if you have seen the movie the red/blue monster's eye's are the key to knowing what it is called.

THANKS! I just posted a question trying to find this. I been ALL OVER the internet and I knew once I found this site if any where would have it it would be here.
