I just bought a two story home, and the only lighting is from lamps. Unfortunately there is no attic space and I am curious if I can install recessed lighting w/o any space to run wire. Is it possible to do.

Are you talking about on your 1st floor or 2nd floor? How deep is the cavity between the bottom of the joist and the top, 2x10?

It all depends on how much $$$ you have to spend and/or how much damage you want to repair.
