I have a friend who got excellent results from non-surgical spinal decompression. I think the basic idea is that you get hooked to a machine similar to a Rack (the medieval torture device which stretches your head from your feet). The machine stretches your spine slightly and repeatedly over the course of 15 minutes or so. You do this in multiple sessions per week for a few weeks, at which point the bulging should be dramatically reduced. I think the idea is that spinal fluid is exerting outward pressure on the disc. By pulling on your spine, the fluid is sucked in away from the disc to fill the void. Apparently repeating this motion many times in a row spreads the fluid throughout your spinal column enough to relieve the pressure for some time after the treatment is over. By repeating the therapy every couple of days for a few weeks, it apparently gives the disc time to contract and heal.
An orthopedist should be able to explain the procedure in much better detail.

Inversion therapy (lying on a padded board that tilts downward at x angle and with feet locked down) helps too. One can buy a machine like this and that allows various angles.

Thank you very much for support. That's what I am going to do, just was not sure if it really works.

Lie with your back TOTALLY flat and put a strong laundry basket under your knees so they are at a right angle to your buttocks.
This takes all pressure off your back. Its slow. But it does help.
Good luck
