Ever since I started up the blower/vac a few years ago with the prior years gas( and I live in the northeast where condensation and water probably formed in the gas), the blower would bog down, and be hard to start for a few uses, then it started working well, only to start bogging down again. It sometimes recovers when air direction tube is held level, and not pointed downward. This year it worked well a few weeks, now bogs down sooner, is hard and sluggish to start, and won't work long before becoming difficult to start, needing many pulls on the starter cord.

Will this clean itself out like it seems to have been doing, or is it the end for the unit, as I have had about 7 years now. Is there any thing I can use or run through the engine to get it to recover, as I am guessing that the condensated gas may have started this problem?

I would try to clean out the sludge if any in the carberator-need to tear down-if already changed plugs and proper mix -40to 1 ratio is good-

Hi,
I would suggest the replacement of the diaphragms and gaskets (2tw of each) and the inlet screen to see if that does not solve the problem. You probably do not want to do the starter damage as it is a pain to get to.
Peace,
