I had some charges of theft under 500, ihad to plead guilty to two of them ,the other I pleaded nola too. Are these charges considered felonies? When I apply for a job and it asks if I have ever been convicted a felony,how should I answer this? Also,will this come up on a background check? Thank you

It should come up in a background check,you can go to the court house and ask for the result of the case.They will give you a sheet w. what you plead to and if it's a misdemeanor or felony.That may cost 5-20 dollars,the police should be able to run a check on you as well.

It depends on the state on which value equals a felony.

You can either go to the Courthouse and get a Certificate of Disposition for the cases OR ask the Police to run a check of your name.

As a side note - how can you not know if they were felonies, misdemeanors, a mix?

They should be misdemeanors, at that level ( but you should knon you were charged.

But they will show up on your record also
