Are there grants for people that want to go to beauty school but can't afford to?

Hey, Momma! Aren't you already beautiful! I think that you are! Why would you need to go to school for that!
Look, you've even turned into an angel now! :)
Sorry, I bad!!

LOL. I heart you Clough. I want to share my beauty with others, lol. I want to make everyone look their best. I've wanted to go to beauty school since I was born.

Whew! And I was sticking my neck out there waiting for a slap for being a bad person! Thanks for not slapping me!
Where do you want to go to beauty school, please?

That school does not accept financial aid, but I am wondering if there is a way to get a grant for me and then use it there. I'm not really too educated on grants.

Well, generally people write things in order to get grants. It's kind of an art and science to do it.
What about getting a loan from a financial institution?

I can't get loans. I've tried. I don't have credit history or a cosigner. I really only need $1,080 to get started, because I can make $200 a month payments.

Do you have anything that you could use as collateral on a loan? Rings, jewelry, coins, antiques, etc.

Nope.

What about attending a different beauty school?

There are only two in town and the other one is twice as expensive. And they don't accept financial aid either.

Are you thinking of leaving your profession in the vision field?
ChihuahuaMomma
May 25, 2009, 02:20 AM
I'm not in the vision field any longer, I'm a caregiver. And after school is completed, yes.
Clough

What do you mean by "And after school is completed", please?
You know that I'm "in your corner" as well as balcony, Momma! We just have to figure out the best things to do!
Thanks!

You asked if I was planning to leave my current profession, and I am after school is completed.
Clough

I'm still not understanding what that means, Momma, about the after school. Sorry!

I will keep the job that I have until I am finished with school, and then I will get a job with the education I have acquired.
Clough
May 25, 2009, 02:38 AM
Okay, now I do understand what you meant.
What is your major in school, please?
Thanks!

Clough

Okay, that tells me a lot.
So, you're already getting a degree in beauty. Correct?
ChihuahuaMomma
May 25, 2009, 02:51 AM
No, I don't have the money for school. That's what this post is about.
Clough
May 25, 2009, 02:56 AM
How are you going to school at the present time, then?
Thanks!
ChihuahuaMomma
May 25, 2009, 02:57 AM
I'm not in school right now, I'm trying to figure out a way to get money for school.

Thanks!
