My grandma passed away last year (she was 104!) and left me a few pieces of Royal Violet China with gold rim. I can't image that they are worth anything (she never had any money), but she didn't remember where or when she had gotten them. It would be fun to have some kind of knowledge regarding the china. I will attempt to load a picture.

Hi, tjthroop!
I'm not sure yet about any history concerning them. But, if you click on the following link, you'll find some websites where you can get an idea concerning the possible monetary value of them
Royal - Google Image Search (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=off&q=Royal%20Violet%20China&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi)
Thanks!
