I was charged with 3rd degree theft, theft by deception, and forgery for finding a debit card and buying 3 items in Bridgewater Commons Mall New Jersey that I believe came up to $300 I used credit and had to sigh the receipt I didn't use my name but the name on the card. I was brought to the police station questioned, and had picture taken and fingerprints. I have a court date soon but yet to find out the date. I am really really sorry about what I did and I definitely regret doing it. I'm 16 this is my first offense, I'm a really good student in school, my record is clean. This is very new to me and will never happen again. And is it possible for me to get another job right away because I lost my job because of this? And I would just like to know will I go to Juvenile Detention? Or what will happen?

Why did you lose your job? Was this misuse somehow tied to your employment?

I would not attempt to handle this without an Attorney, either privately retained or assigned.

On a first offense, IF you make retribution, you should get probation. Being under 18 you might have this go on your juvenile record which would be sealed once you turn 18.

But to make sure this happens I would get an attorney.
