What is the mass of oxygen required to completely burn 10 grams of propane C3H8(g)?
1. Figure out the products of the reaction.
2. Write a balanced equation.
3. Calculate the number of moles of propane in 10 grams.
4. Figure out the number of moles of oxygen required to react with the number of moles of propane calculated in #3.
5. Convert moles of propane to grams of propane.
