I had my mirena IUD for a year. I had the IUD removed the first week of April 09. I had my period the week of the 12th in April. I have not had my period since and I took a pregnancy test today may 20th and it was negative. Why haven't I had my period could I still be prenant. I hope I am and am curious to find out. I have been cramping, tired and have had sore breasts.

It's possible you became pregnant and it just isn't showing up on a urine test yet. You can try another test in a few days or see your doctor about maybe a blood test.

It could also be your body is just adjusting to having the IUD removed and you can wait and see what happens when your period would be due next month and test at that time if need be or see your doctor if still no period.
