My Honda ran fine then I parked it three hours later it would crank but, not start. We took the starter to the parts shop to have it checked and it worked. What else could be wrong or could the starter just not be working good enough.

If the Check Engine Light comes on and goes off normally, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil:

If the car eventually starts, when the windows are opened and the inside cools down, the main relay may need replacing. It's located to the left of the steering column. Turning the ignition switch on and off will help you locate it, by hearing and feeling it click. Because of the age of the car, I would replace all three of these components. It's best to replace them every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. This will help restore "like new" reliability and performance.
