Hello. I am desperate! My 2 yr old washing machine was trouble maybe from the start maybe soon after. It doesn't get out simple food stains. I use stain removers and presoak and don't fill the machine etc. etc. but nothing works. The repairmen who came down both said that it agitates fine and my water is good so they can't figure it out why I am having a problem. Please help! I can't afford to keep throwing out clothes!

Try putting on a stain remover before you put it in the machine.
If stains are very bad and allowed to dry then very often they have gone past the point of removal.
Perhaps if its something like.. blackcurrant squash.. ribena, blood.. try and wash the garment straight away rather than put it in the laundry basket for the next load.
Try uping the temperature you wash the garments at... make sure it comes within the garments limit.
Add a water softener, this will disolve the detergent, plus also keep your machine clear of limescale.
Check that your water is actually getting to the right temperature and not remaining cold.
Lastly I'm sure you've tried different powders etc...
Just a thought... I suppose you are putting the detergent in the right compartment! If not it could be washing away before the actual wash programme starts!!
Have you tried a liquid or a liquid capsule, they are very good especially in cooler wash loads.
