My 8 year old grandson lives in Lancaster,pa with his mother. His father(my son) died in 2003. Up until March of this year we spent a lot of time together. I had him the whole month of July. Now she is keeping me fromseeing him. She doesn't work and receives a SS survivors check for him. I live in NJ. She's mad at me for calling DYFS when she was living in Nj for 3 months. That is why she moved back there. She mistreats him and he is starved for attention. She has a boyfriend (one of many) living with her who doesn't work either. I am very concerned about my grandson. She is always moving and living with different people. What are my chances of getting visitation?

Pennsylvania laws now provide grandparents with the right to seek visitation, partial custody, and full legal and physical custody in specific situations.

You will need an attorney to determine where to file and what you chances are. If PA law permits GP visitaion you have a better than 50-50 chance of getting some.

Thank you for your advice. I'll do whatever it takes to see my grandson.
