Hello... I have had my cat Shadow for two and a half years now we estimate her to be about 3 years old... she has always been very close to me... sleeping on my pillow, following me around etc... but lately she's gotten More so... like she forces herself as close to me as possible... and every time I move it almost seems like she gets scared and presses close to me again when I lay down... she's also started chewing my hair which I know isn't really bad but she gets ahold of some and tugs, she's almost pulled some out! I was just wondering if this was something to really worry about or just a little change

Is she spayed? If not she could be pregnant.

She isn't spayed but the only other cat in the house is fixed and she doesn't go outside... she's actually terrified of leaving the house... thats what I would have first thought of if there was much of a possibility of reality for that

Maybe she's sick. Sometimes animals act weird when they are hurting.. I suggest you take her to the vet just in case.. she could had swallowed some string and it's making her feel sick. (something like that could kill her) so just to be on the safe side I would take her in.

I'm going to keep an eye on her for a few more days first before I go that route. Usually when a cat hurts she talks a lot or does something that is bad different not usually like this... my sisters cat used to eat the grass from Easter baskets :O you KNEW when she did that too

I know that indoor cats really need some sort of grass like Oat or Wheat grass to eat. I have oat grass that I grow indoors for my cat to eat whenever she wants (oat grass is sweeter and they prefer this). Your cat chewing on your hair makes me think it may be acting on instinct thinking your hair is grass :) Either way his/her behavior changing could also mean kitty is sick and they usually want to eat a lot of grass when this occurs. Hope this helps :)

Ok thanks! I'll go out and buy some cat grass... and I'm keeping a close eye on her just in case... she's got an appointment with the vet in like two weeks so we'll see what's up then
