A/c has heat strips. Old motor black wire went blower relay, red to L2. I did as you said, BLACK TO L1, PURPLE TO L2, BROWN to CAPS. (WHAT about blower relay?)
Could I have a bad blower relay , possible running on 120 volt when compressor comes on?

Replaced blower motor on single package a/c, old blower three wire(red blue black).
New motor,5 wire-2 brown, one red, one black, one purple. A?c has heat strips, wiring -black to blower relayred to cap, blue to contactor. With out compressor 1100 rpm , compressor ON barley moves half speed. HOW do I wire it?

Black to black, relay
Blue to purple, contactor.
2 browns to the new capasitor.
Red not used. It is probably used for low speed, is this a 2 speed motor?

How old is this unit? Maybe the compressor is going bad and over amping. Do you have a amp meter? Do you have a full 240 volts to the unit?

Did you get a new capacitor with the motor and will the blower run normal if you turn the fan switch on at the thermostat and the cooling off?

1997, yes I, have one, yes, I am reading 8.5 amps, but I'm reading 120 at L1-120, L-2, 120 T1-120 ,T-2-120 at contactor, with out compressor , contactor open , compressor working fine. I hooked up 115 vlt blower , direct keeping cool OK, but won't shut off. 92 temp outside. Therm set at 78. With Black wire conneted to blower relay speed drops 1/2 then super slow.Do I have feed back from Contactor or Relay?

New cpacitor, blower full speed runs only with compressor off, blower on, half speed to nothing compressor on.
