I have a Bradford White 30 gallon electric low boy with a 19" diameter about 15 years old. All of the replacements I have seen are about 22" in diameter, I will now have to move a hvac freon line costing me more money since I can't get an exact replacement.

Please help with a small foot print low boy.

I have ran into the identical problem with some of my customers, too. Since the time you've installed your old w/h 15 years ago, energy saving requirements have changed. Now, new heaters have 2" of extra insulation making them larger. I am enclosing size tables for Bradford White low boy elec. heaters...

Is the heater really so tight that the extra 3" will make such a difference ? Most of the times we are able to fit one in. Check out your space one more time. Maybe you can squeeze it in...

Let us know what you've found out... Milo
