I live in an older mobile home in campbell Texas, it's a nice location, out in the country with a big fenced in back yard, etc, etc... but with summer coming and my wife a yankee, the heat and humidity of east Texas is something that she is not use too. But when we tried the AV the other day, all it did was blow out air, not cold air... I don't think the compressor? Outside is kicking on, but I know the fan inside is. Is this something that I'm going to have to replace? Or is there simple things I can check before calling in the HVAC guys?

Does the outside fan spin, did you check the breaker?

Hello TexasAggie, A Red Raider here. I never thought I would be able to tell an Aggie anything. But here goes.
On the out side unit does the fan turn when the unit is calling for Airconditioning at the Thermostat? If is that means you are getting power to the outside unit, if not the first thing I would check is the breakers or the fuses, which ever you have.
Give me a little more info about your unit and I will try to help you get it running. Do you happen to have a volt meter. Or an ohm meter?
