When I boot up the PC it goes to a login screen displaying a dialog box asking for your user name and password. I enter them and it then says "This sytem could not log you on. Make sure your user name and domain are correct. Then type your password again." I have a password but
It won't accept any password. As far as it goes in the choices is Shut down, Restart, Standby, or Hibernate.
What do I need to do to get it to boot into XP Home??
Thanks, Jim

You need the password or login to the Admin account

Thanks Scott, but how can I reset or give it a new password that it will accept if I can't get to the Admin setup page to do this?

Just wondering - have you setup a domain that the computer previously connected to?

Thank you for your help answers. I tried another method which I rebooted into Safe Mode via the F8 key and then went into system restore and chose an earlier restore point. It went through this preceedure and rebooted just fine.
Thank You
