My organization was donated an emachine T2885. When you push the on button nothing happens. The mobo light comes on when you connect the power, but nothing happens. I am looking for a chart indicating the correct connections to the board. For example the black and white wires that come from the on/off switch, I am not sure exactly where they connect to on the board itself. I know that it is not the power supply, because I connected a good one and nothing happened either. So I am checking the connections before I start looking at a possible mobo break down.

Any help will be good

The technical information on eMachine's web site (http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T2885) is sparse. Contacting their technical support may be your only resource if there is no response here. The dead eMachines boards that I have floating around in the shop awaiting recycling don't have the front panel headers labeled either.

If your organization is a non-profit, do yourself a favor long term and replace the board with one that is compatible with the processor and memory. Asus, Intel, and some other boards have a 3 year warranty. EMachines have a 1 year warranty. I've seen a fair number of eMachines for power supply and motherboard issues post warranty.

I have this computer myself, if you want, I can send you a picture of the wires connecting from the power button to the motherboard. Ask for my email

Everything you need is here
Intel® D845GVSR "Sea Breeze" Mainboard (http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket478/D845GVSR.shtml)
In the links menu, you'll find CPU info, Jumper settings and Download Drivers

Hope that helps
