I am working on the plumbing of a villa. It has three storeys, only one water heater is to be placed in the basement (must). There are 15 bath rooms. The height from the basement to top floor is 50 ft and the horizontal distance is 80 ft. This makes a total distance of 155 ft excluding friction and fitting losses. Hot water is to rise to the roof (50 ft), move horizontally (80 ft), and come down (25 ft). I am planning a recirculation pump for hot water. Will this arrangement work?

I would have more than one water heater period. 50 foot rise will take a bit of pressure to overcome let alone the horozontal distance. Better talk to the engineer on this one.
