My best mate for lack of a better phrase "does alotta weed". Now I'm proud of them for finanlly stoping heroin, (after the death of a friend from an over dose two months ago)
But they have now started doing weed. I lost two other friends last year from estacy pills. Any advice?

On another note:

I don't remember asking not to be taken seriously because of my age. I may be sixteen/seventeen and Im fully aware I come off as extremely juvenile in this forum but I came here for advice, I did not expect I would have to defend my credibility and maturity level! I have lived aspeccts of my life far beyond my years. Im not even going to begin to go into that. So either help me or not but DO NOT patronise me

Yes, there is nothing you can do, best advice stay away from them and let your feelings be known.

A drug user will only stop if and when they want to.

Children should not use mood/mind altering substances.
My advice is to stay away from children who use drugs. And PLEASE don't cave in to peer pressure to use dangerous drugs like heroin and ecstacy.

Thanks for your advice Sunflowers but my mates are aged between 17 and 23.. so we really are not children. And do you really think after the death of three of my best friends I'm going to do the stuff the killed them? No way, what do I take me for?

I guess that helps a little... It just sucks you know. It gets to a point when the drug is all they talk about, I just hoped after four years of trying to help him (and finally sucess) get off heroin, that he wouldent do drugs again. I thorght because I realised what he was doing so early in the addiction that I could do more this time... know what I mean?

Yea I know what you mean. Maybe he'll get bored of it after a while. The most dangerous thing about it is the legal consequenses if he gets caught. Plus he might lose motivation to pursue things that could better himself. Or maybe he'll learn to regulate his use. There are many people who lead productive successful lives who smoke marijuana. It isn't ideal though, it is illegal in most places.
