I have inheireted a nicely working, but older model hot tub. I need to know how many gallons are in it so I can do the figure out the chemicals for it. It is a Gatsby hot tub # 46258. The company has been discontinued and so far I haven't been able to find any one who would know. Any one have any information on the particular tub? It would be greatly appreciated.

The total gallonage isn't as important as the balance in the pool. Add bromine for say 200 gallons and then test to see if you have reached the proper level. Hot tubs consume disinfectant at different rates so gallons aren't as important. Most dispensers are very adjustable and just keep adjusting and measuring, forget the gallons.

1 gal is about 231 cubic inches. So measure the volume in inches (l x w x h) and divide by 231 to get an estimate.
