I am trying to install a toilet on a tiled floor with cement under the tile. The tile runs to the edge of a 3" ABS pipe. I want to clear enoug space around this drain pipe to install a 3x4 flange which when done should fit around the existing 3" drain ABS which at this time has tile and cement all the way up to it.

Hope this makes sense and look forward to your suggetions.

Thanks, Mario

You don't have to cut the tile You can get a flange that fits into the abs pipe coming out of the floor. You could also use a speed ring that attatches to the floor and hold th toilet bolts.

Thank you gbeavers.

I originally had a flange that fitted into the pipe, but toilet horn hit it and would rock a top of it. Ripped out that flange (which I had glued to waste line and 4 bolted to cement floor) and would like the seeming added security of having a flange to waste line mechanical connection.

Re my last post, I did not originally have a flange that went inside waste line. Rather in my remodeling process, after re tiling the floor, I put that in there and then was not able to properly re install toilet.
