A woodlot owner tells you that a neighboring woodlot has lost a lot of trees in a fire. Hower because the trees are still standing its owner doesn't know what he should do. You explain that:

a) the trees are of no value, let them fall naturally and clean them up once they are on the ground
b)they can be salvaged but preferabally in winter to minimize damage to the soil
c)he should salvage immediately before they become infested with insects
d)he should wait four years then harvest the ones still standing as they are no doubt healthy on the inside

I have been working on this question and I can't seem to find or figure out the right answer

With the experience I have had in living in Australia, the land of bush fires , my suggestion is to opt for d)

d)he should wait four years then harvest the ones still standing as they are no doubt healthy on the inside.
