View Full Version : End Times

I was watching Joel Rosenberg's talk with Glenn Beck on Youtube. This is a 5 part video. Joel is incredible. Then I bumped into another 7 part video on Youtube which is called "The End Times". The End Times is a wonderful video. Did anyone see these videos? And what do you think about Joel Rosenberg?
I am also looking at the things happening around us and those are in line with prophecies in the Bible. How many are saying that we are heading into the end times? I am not sure whether we have already entered the period of end times. Yet I have not forgotten that Jesus has said that the no body knows the final hour. Does any one has more to share on the end times?

The intersting thing about end times, every generation thinks this is the end. Are you heading, of course since every year is one year closer to some date.
Even the early church thought they would be the end, many felt it was only a few years after christs rising that it would come.
Those in all eras of church history felt it was the time.
So we can feel it is the time, till the next generation proves us wrong perhaps.
That is the trick about the end time, we will not know it, till it happens, the theft in the night

There are many bible scholars that truly believe that the earth is in the last days. Not as it was seen 2000 years ago, but because so many prophesies have already been fulfilled that we are in the end of the last days. Check out Grant Jeffries for one.

Jesus gave ONE specific prophecy concerning the end.
Matt 24:14
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
(KJV)
The Apostles took the gospel of the kingdom to the then known world, but obviously the end didn't come then.
However, in my lifetime I have observed the gospel being taken around the world, and it is not likely that there is a NATION (I did not say individual) that has not heard the gospel. If there are, their number is few.
So from that stand point, there is NO prophecy that must be fulfilled before the end of the Church Age.

We have been in the end of times for 2000 years.
For Jesus to return the third temple must be built on Temple Mount and the anti-Christ booted out.
At present Temple Mount is under control of Islam peoples via and agreement with the Jews who do have ownership of that mount.
Moneys are beenung gathed for the rebuilding of the Temple of Yahweh.
A great dispute is now going on concerning the mount.
I fear that it will be a long time before the third temple is built.

You are still not getting that the Churh age will end before the Great Tribulation period, during which time the Temple will be rebuilt. The actual construction time could be very short.

Does God have a copy of this plan? He certainly will have to go through a lot of hoops before He can end the world.

HUH??
If God is God what hoops will HE need to go through to get anything done? HE certainally will not need the help or approval of people to do what he has promised to do in the last days. Most of which has already been accomplished BTW!

I agree with FR.CHUCK.
Everybody thinks they are in the end times.
There are some preachers that preach the doom and gloom. That the end of the world is coming now. In this generation. Or some even have the nerve to predict certain dates, the world will end. The thing is, God is the only one that knows. I personally do not believe it ever ends. Life is on going one way or another.
If this place is done, then another place will be created.
I also feel that if this world does end or we all parish it will be our own doing. We are slowly destroying this world.
Joe
EDIT: The coming of christ will happen WHEN NO ONE EXPECTS IT. As long as we are all expecting it, it will not happen.

Jesushelper,
It doesn't say NO ONE will expect it... and last time I checked... not very many people expect it. Just take a look at this so called Christian board... not many are "expecting" it.
The second coming will not take place until the 7year tribulation period and the anti christ, but I do believe THIS generation will see it. Jesus said we CAN know about when... even when it is at the door.

Beats me... I only know that God's Word is absolute truth and that no scripture is of private interpretation, we need to have the Holy Spirit to even understand it fully, we must rightly divide it , put it in context and not add or subtract from it. IF ONE does this, I DO believe there would not be the divisions we find now. I don't care how many believe it, last time I checked it was a VERY SMALL "segment" that believe the Lord Jesus Christ when he was here.

Hey folks, you all are great..! Thanks for turning this thread to a humorous lane. I love it.
I agree with what all is said. I know even any angel would not know the specific time of Jesus' second coming. Yet, I think that either we are approaching the beginning of the end times phase or we have already into that phase. The predictions in the Bible did not happen for more than two thousand years ago, have started happening. Birth of Isreal, global TV and internet has connected most of the people and this network is ever expanding every hour of the day, a chip insert in bodies rather than cards is coming soon, more and more people are coming to HIM and many are turning away too, people have started claiming themselves to be god, remember Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda and others? There are so many things happening. Gog and Magog, Armageddon, ruling of Anti-Christ and his bringing peace to the whole world yet to come.
The point I want to make here is that HIS second coming is inevitable, whether we see HIM coming down on the Earth or the next generation, but are we ready to receive Lord Jesus? Will HE take us with HIM? Are we doing what qualifies us to be called HIS people?

We have been in the End Times since Jesus ascended into heaven. Just like when a baby is born, it then already has only death ahead.
Come, Lord Jesus!

However, after a child's birth, there is always time for him to grow, enjoy and live life. Unless life is cut short by an accident, we see signs of death nearing.

I think that when you are looking for fulfilled prophesies , you will find them. It is like those silly horoscopes. Some people read them and actually believe them. You can convince yourself that anything is true if you want to believe it.

Your posts sound like God sat down yesterday with his dictaphone. His secretary then typed it up and sent it to the publisher. Like there was no room for any change from his initial intent to what you sit down and read in English today.
I think that is a HUGE assumption and not a very realistic one

And yet, things that were written more than two thousand years ago in the Word of God have actually come to pass exactly like He said? When you read more than one hundred prophesies in the Bible that have already come to pass it should make you wonder if there is something to this God of ours?

Perhaps it is the end times for each...
Our race is constantly advancing and redefining who we are, and how we live our impact upon this earth and so on. Perhaps it is the end of our heritage, and the beginning of a new race.
Perhaps the world of farie will come back, and there will be elves, and magic, and Ocrs, and dragons, Phoenix, unicorns. We really don't know do we.
Oooo, maybe we'll be greeted by Jedis, I hope it's not the other guys, the sith lords. Eeek.

Cozyk,
God has revealed everything we need to know in His Word. He places it above his name. It isn't just a story, a book, a bunch of thoughts that can be reconsidered depending on what era we live in. It is what it is. . it is a HUGE assumption to think He would go back and change one WORD in it. He didn't make a mistake... it IS absolute truth and truth never changes.

God inspired men to write the Holy Scriptures in the bible and they did so from their current knowledge and culture.
They could not so otherwise.
The same for those who are inspired to write today.
I'm a published author and so I know that I can be inspired but cannot write beyong my level of knowledge and culture background.
When reading and studying the bible that should be kept in mind.
If God insisted on the writing to be with His infinite and perfect knowledge and understanding it would be way far over the heads of the smartest people in this world.

Fred,
Hmmm? Well I don't agree with you in that some of these guys were writing things that was NOT within there current Knowledge or culture. I believe in the book of Revelation, John had NO IDEA what he was actually describing and he did it the best he could with what he knew . He is one example, I believe Daniel also was given visions and dreams he really didn't understand. When GOD is the one that is Inspiring and he is the AUTHOR he can use mere man and that man doesn't have to completely understand it.
AND I think the bible is waay over our heads even for the smartest of people. That is why the natural man can't understand the Bible... it takes GOD (the HOLY SPIRIT) to enlighten what has been written.
So Fred, can I read one of your books? You should let me know what you have had published... that is totally COOL.

Wonderful Fred. I did not know you are an author. What do you write on?
I think when God inspires someone to write HIS words, that means, God is controlling the mind of the person and giving him the thoughts to put down in writing. HE uses humans as a channel to pass on HIS word. That's why we have the Bible and we believe that it is the word of God. I don't think that God would restrict HIS word to cultural background or the knowledge of that person. Whoever HE deems fit to convey His message, HE would use him/her.
If we look in the OT, HE used few people to write down HIS future plan for this earth. Now why did HE chose them, only HE can tell us. Yet whatever they wrote thousands of years ago, has happened and is happening. Prophecies about Jesus had come true. What Jesus had said has come true. In Old times, there were people who would talk to God directly and convey HIS messages to people and their rulers and bring their queries to God. Why we do not have them in modern age, perhaps we are too corrupt. There are people who can tell future, how do they do it, why do they have this special power only and not everyone, we don't know.
