I have a 93 cutlas ciera with a 3.3 eng. Here lately it has a real bad hesitation when the engine is cold. Checked injectors with a volt meter they all read the same also did a hearing test to see if they were clicking , they all sounded pretty much the same. Cleaned spark plugs an regaped them it made no change in hesitation. I'm stumped , please help.

The fuel injectors and intake should still be properly cleaned to make certain that you are getting good air and fuel flow.
Injectors will click even when they aren't spraying an atomized pattern.
Critical air passages in many intake systems need cleaned periodically to provide peek performance.

. Install new ACDelco platinum spark plugs--the exact plugs that came with the car. Change them every 40,000 miles.
. Check/replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, not the ECT Switch or ECT Gauge. The ECT Sensor affects fuel injector pulse width. It's a temperature dependent resistor (thermistor), whose resistance decreases as the engine coolant temperature increases. It provides a richer mixture when cold, leaner mixture when hot. They become corroded, due to not changing the coolant frequently enough, flood the engine, and waste a tremendous amount of fuel.
. Change fuel filter.
If the problem persists, replace the Ignition Control Module and coil packs. I recommend replacing these components every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first.

Are you positive the hesitation is from the engine, and not the transmission?
