Ok... let me tell you how it has been for the last year... and I'll make it simple... I am 22 years of age.

January 2008- Didn't have a peroid for the first time ever.
May 2008- Still no sign of a peroid... so I finally go to the doctor. I get put on Progesterone.
June 2008- PEROID!
July2008- no peroid =(
Augest 2008- First Papsmear EVER! Ouch... but good news... they find NOTHING wrong.
September 2008 to February 2009- I have a peroid every other month.
Mid February 2009 to now- Almost May and I have yet to have a peroid.

Ok... So I am at a loss as to what to do... Is it just natural? I really don't want to be put on progesterone again. I am really getting worried that My peroid for the past year has been going haywire. I first started when I was 13 and had a regular/ slightly heavy peroid up until the age of 21... I don't know what other actions to take. The end of this summer I have another dreaded papsmear... unless I talk to my doctor about getting it done early. Grrr I just want to know what is going on down there!

I think that you need to go and see someone that specialises in women's health.

If your period was always regular and there have been changes - then it is for a reason. This reason needs to be explored rather than whacking you on some hormone. I'm not sure why you would be put on Progesterone - is this to regulate your cycle?

You need to have your hormone levels tested to see what's going on, and then work from there. You may also need to have an internal ultrasound so se what the inner workings are doing.

A pap smear rules out cervical cancer, but not much else!

Good luck and try not to worry too much - just find a good doctor that understands female health.
