I know you probably think it's a weird question but
Like
Since Jim Morrison was drunk and stoned and much more
Do you think he knew what he was saying in his poetry?
And also do you think its kind of sad that he was only good when he played (drunk and stoned)
In other words he was considered one of the best poets and he was drunk half the time he wrote most of his poetry and on stage?
AND!
JUST TO LET U KNOW
I am a HUGE Doors fan as well as Jim Morrison but my friend always tells me all this crape about its sad that he only played good when he was drunk or some crape like that
And I beg to differ and I just want someome else's opinon to prove I'm right!:p

It's sad that he had a problem- but he was a creative artist. There have been numerous "great" artists that have rumored to eat paint before creating their masterpiece, gotten high before writing a novel, and even deprived themselves of food and sleep in order to hallucinate and create their best work. Is it wise to do so? NO.

I do believe he knew what he was doing. When you are high/drunk you do have some cognition- although your sense of reasoning is quite shot you are still able to think and analyze. I think it's bull honky when people say "I didn't know what I was doing"-- because I've been both and I knew what I was doing.

That's my two pennies.
