Statue of limitation to file a missing person report ,is each state different ?

Statutes of limitaton pertain to specific types of court actions. I don't believe making a report to the authorities concerning a missing person is a court action, so a SOL wouldn't apply.

If someone is missing, they would still be missing today, it's not a crime that would have a limitation on when you could report it.

Why would you wait to report a missing person?
