I have a refrigerator that goes on and off for a few hours at a time. The repairman said the fridge is OK. The electric circuit is the problem. When it does not work, the electricity current is so low the fridge won't work. I put a wire/light tester in the socket and it is half bright. It does not have enough juice to turn on an electric clock either. I don't know if it is on a 15 or 20 amp breaker. Do they put a fridge on a circuit by itself? If not how can this plug only get half juice? I think it is at the end of a circuit, two wires in and no wires going out.

Thanks

You have a loose connection somewhere.

Could be at the breaker on any other outlet that feeds this one.

A bad breaker is also a possibility.

Troubleshooting may be beyond you expertise.

You can:
Look for signs of overhheating at the breaker and the wall outlet. Repair or replace.

Check connections at the wall outlet and the breaker. Tighten.

Open the socket closest to the one giving problems you'll probabley find a loose or broken neutral

Sorry phan, It could be the neutral or the hot.
