Hello everyone I have a question back in March I was terminated from my job and they are charging me with embezzlement for 43 dollars. I live in Las Vegas Nevada, now do you think this charge may be dropped since its so little money? Should I get a lawyer? Please help... thanks.

Hello A:
They don't drop charges because they're small. They just give out small sentences... Yes, I'd hire a lawyer, because a record for a small crime will cost you BIG money in the future.

Yeah and the thing that sux is I got court for this on Monday but yet I'm receiving my a.a. degree in criminal justice on Friday. This was all a set up I didn't even take the item but they have me on video just throwing away the trash. I messed up by saying I did though to the loss prevention officer because I didn't want to get booked so they just issued me a citation. Oh and thanks for answering so quick.

Talked to a lawyer today I feel more comfortable now its costing me some money but got to pay the consequence. He said everything should be all right so we will see.
