I have struggled in public schools, I am shy and had bad grades , because I refused to do any presentations. I need to find a school that offers one-on-one teaching and I found a perfect one or not it's the learning center, but they charge $85-$100/hour and I can't afford that. Everything was perfect the hours and everything but not the admission and charges.I need your help to find a good high school that is at least $200/month or free and a one-on-one teaching.Can you find me a school for me?Oh and one more thing I'm 18 and Im in 10th grade and I have 105 credits.

Not sure where you are at, but the issue is you are running from the problem, not dealing with the problem. So you refuse to do presentations, that means you can not hold any real job most of your life because you can't talk to people, I guess asking, do you want fries with that will be a career goal..

So you find a evening course in public speaking, ( a lot cheaper) or you do counseling to deal with being shy.

I think you said in your first sentence that you refuse to do your school work. There isn't a way around doing work to show that you have learned something. Often doing the work is the best way of learning. If you can't show it you probably have not learned it. I would suggest working hard at changing yourself so you can succeed in school. There are no free one on one school, that's private tutoring.

Your 18 and after this year your out of high school, graduated or not- you are now an adult and you aren't able to be in school with other minors. After this year it's and adult learning center for you.

Your 18 and your still afraid- there is something wrong here. I agree with everything chuff said.

Not sure where you are at mudweiser but I know children over 18 that still go to high school because they were held back or failed a few years.

It's okay to be 18 if you were 17 when you started attending school. If you are 18 entering school that fall they shut the door in your face and tell you to go to ALC.

It's not like that here in the US. Everyone who attends school is given a chance to graduate.

Either way I really don't think going to High School would be a benefit to him. I have a feeling that he's actually slacking off instead of trying to work on his fears and having impressionable younger kids would just feed that "laziness" [for a lack of better word].

I think you are correct in that the OP is not facing his/her fears. Personally I don't know of any one-on-one schools aside from maybe Sylvan Learning Centers, and they are only there to tutor students, not give them a diploma.

You know I bet if he googled his city or even look at the yellow pages he'd find some tutoring centers like Kumon (http://www.kumon.com/findacenter/default.asp?language=USA) or House of tutors (http://www.houseoftutors.com/highschool.html) or even United States Tutoring in the Comfort of Your Home (http://www.tutorjam.com/tutoring/UnitedStates.html)

There are technical schools he can go to like Everest or Devry and they'll help him get his GED.

My ex for example is a tutor, almost always brings the person up in grades, often a lot.
But this issue is more a refusal out of fear of speaking in front of people. If a person tries and does poorly, it is different than refusing
