Hello

My status:
L1 VISA holder incorporated to my company since October 2007 my last renewal expires on October 2010.
I know I can only work and be paid for my company but

Since I finished my last project and I am plenty of time while living in the USA.

Can an L1 VISA holder to apply for a C2C or 1099 contract position?
Does it means that my company would invoice the other company and of course I would be paid for my company.

Am I misunderstanding Contract relationship for C2C or 1099 and being a L1 visa holder I do not qualify for that kind of contracts?

My attorney's answer was "I am allowed to apply for C2C or 1099.

Some recruiters say that I can not apply to these kinds of contract positions so it raises some doubts and I do not find an easy way to repeat the same question to my attorney.
Would you kindly please provide your advice, I would really appreciate a second opinion.

Thank you in advance.
Regards

As an L-1 holder, you are supposed to work full time with your sponsor company only, not as contractor.
