New passport rules come into effect this June so that even people travelling by land will need a passport to enter the U.S. I know that Canada allows dual citizenship. I was wondering what are some ways that a Canadian citizen can gain permanent resident status in the U.S. and eventually gain dual citizenship. It would make travel a lot easier.

Both US and Canada do recognize dual citizenship... many Canadians have greencards and many are also US citizens.
