I am a single mother of a 5 year old, I am also in the military and just got back last Friday after being gone for 7 months. My daughter was staying with my mom who is well... a lot more lenient than I am. She has been really difficult while I was gone and its getting worse. She has no respect for teachers or anyone for that matter, and refuses to listen. Today at recess she took her shoes off and threw them on the playground, and went running and playing in the mudd and water puddles, the teacher could not control her. She is in the principals office usually at least once a week, and it doesn't faze her a bit. Most kids are scared to end up there, but she has no care in the world. When I take her places she has a tendency to throw fits but hasn't lately or since I have been home, not sure if its still part of the adjusting to me being home and eventually all the bad behavior will start up again. At home she seems OK, could be better how do I control her behavior at school and daycare? Am I doing something wrong? At first I thought it was her acting out for me being gone but I am starting to think there are some serious issues. I have tried rewarding her with good behavior with a Wii, movies, games... but it feels now like I am buying her. Any advice would be amazing, I am at the end of the line here.
