My husband and I have been trying for baby #2 for a few months now. Here is my question. I was supposed to get my period on April 18 or 19th and I had gone to the GYN on the 15th. She said there was some blood up there but that was it. I went home and that night I started to bleed a bright red color which increased in flow for the next day and then tapered off to nothing by the 17th. That was it. I did have cramps. But see my questioning this stems from the fact that my periods are never more then a day early or a day late. And my periods for the past year have been a light brown color not red (which GyN checked out for me and told me I was normal with that type of period). So I'm wondering what the heck is going on. Was it a period or implantation? Because now, after the bleeding I have some cramps, so tired, slightly dizzy at times and I have bad leg cramps and my breasts are pretty swollen with the veins unusually visible. I know I need to take a test I am just scared to be let down again and see a negative. Result. So I thought I'd get a little advice from you ladies first.
I never had implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy, actually I had NO symptoms but a missed period and a few cramps below my navel, these cramps are going from side to side and some up above the pelvic bone and right under my navel. They aren't constant just off and on. However I know all pregnancies can be different.
And if I was pregnant wouldn't the GYN have been able to tell from the visit on the 15th? Or was it too early because I wouldve conceived like 1-2 weeks earlier.

I would haved to say that you may be pregnant. You may have experienced implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Would it have been possible for it to be light then heavy? I always assumed implantation bleeding was just like a few spots of blood and that's it. Im confused so I will probably test but I so hate to see another big NEG. staring back at me.
