How do Remove the W98 start up theme noise when turning win98 comp on

I believe you can accomplish this through Control Panel-->Sounds. Somewhere in there. :)

Go into control panel/ sounds and under the "program events" dialogue box drop down pull up "start windows". In the sounds dialogue box drop down pull up "none". Click OK,
