I got into an accident in WY yesterday, and I gave the officer my insurance card. Police didn't take pics or anything, just assigned me the ticket for failure to yield. Called my insurance to report the claim, when they tell me the insurace lapsed the day previous. My insurance has been reinstated, but there is nothing that they can do about the accident. What am I liable for and can the officer still give me a ticked for no insurance?

I do believe they had to give you all tickets when the accident occurred.
If you caused the accident then you are responsible to pay for all damages unless their insurance company uses the uninsured insurance thing but then they still come after you for payment.
