My mother died April 2008. My sister had herself added as authorized user in may2008.nowthe card company fia is demanding all money be paid asap or legal action maybe jail will be taken.she was paying on the account on time.when they learned of our mothers passing,they shut down the account and wouldn't accept payment.she wants to pay the account but can't all at once. Can they do this,I mean put you in jail? Help!

Its called credit card fraud and yeah, they can definitely prosecute this legally. Depending on the state it can carry up to 5 years.
