Hi my wife and child have gone back to India, I have to file Tax returns with them as dependent.

For ITIN what documents are needed?
Do I have to provide these documents(like passport) in original or a scan copy is sufficient?
How to find address of the office where the form has to be submitted or question can be asked?
Normally how much time is taken to get ITIN?

What visa do you have? What is your filing status?

Spouse is never considered a dependent. For ITIN complete form W7 and attach with your tax return. You need to attach notarized copies of passport.
