The heater has been working fine winter with the pilot light on all winter. I accidentally turned off the pilot light. Now it will not ignite. It is about 5 or 6 years old.
The heater is a basic unit that is manually controlled. Ie: No thermostat to control the temperature. You simply turn the control valve higher or lower. To light it, the control valve must be turned to the 'pilot light' notch, and then held down while you push a manual igniter. I get a spark from the igniter. I also can smell a little gas. But it will not light. When I ignited it at the end of last summer, it ignited just fine.
Specs: Blue Flame Vent-free NAstural Gas Heater. Model No. CGN20B/CGN20LB.
10,000-20,000 BTU, S/N 8220288
Any ideas what needs to be replaced?
Thanks for any help!
