Is there anyway to remove fines from your record without paying them?
Got a driving with no insurance fine way back in 2000 and was wondering if there is a statue of limitations on it or any other way to get rid of it without paying it as I do not have the money and won't for many many more years.

No, there is no "SOL" after you are charged with something, I will assume you did not pay the fine, I am very surprised it has not went back to court for further inforcement. But if you would have paid perhaps 20 dollars a month starting 9 years ago, would it be paid by now?

Be glad you are not in the US, they would have a warrant out for you by now to arrest you for not paying a driving with no insurance, and your license would have never been given back.

I tried to get them to let me do weekends to work off the 5000 fine, but that is not allowed here. I have asked a million people what else I could do, time, community service, anything to get my license back but the answer has always been pay the fines, well I have two kids and we live on a tight budget, and $20 a year is more than I can afford. I guess it will be no license for me forever. Thanks
