My 1992 Buick Riviera has a power window problem. The passenger window has become stuck halfway down. A grinding noise sounds when the switch is thrown for either up or down. Thinking that the lifting mechanism had come loose from the motor I started taking the door panel off to see. I can't find any bolts or snaps holding the thing on. Does anybody know where they hid them?

Not sure what you mean by "snaps", but starting in the late 80's forward GM started using rivits in place of bolts on most cars. Faster to assemble and don't come loose. Look for large size rivit heads in the area of the track and the motor. If you have to remove, drill the rivit heads. If you don't have access to new large rivits and rivit gun, you can use 1/4" bolts and nuts.

Thanks for the info. I got the cables to track on the motor by jostling and got the window up. I think I'll just rely on the a/c from now on.
