I have a home health agency, I need patients, I thought marketing to doctors for referral would be a good but I do not know how to get started or what to say or how to go about it.

First of all, stop calling them 'patients' and start calling them 'clients'. It puts a better spin on the result. You need a letter outlining your services, what you provide, the quality of your care, etc. and your hourly rate. Another good idea would be sending a letter to the hospitals. If you are a nurse, then the scope of your practice would be a good addition. People emerging from a long stay need home care as well.

Thanks a lot, so we will need to send this letter to doctors, hospital social works and long term care facilities? Do we ask for referrals in the same letter or is this letter just to introduce our company?

Large companies have sales people,
They call on doctor office and rehab centers. You set up often to take lunch in for them, ( you may need to schedule 3 or 4 weeks ahead, they have that many sales people scheduled often.)

You send letters but don't expect the doctor to see most of them, their staff know what to weed out for doctor normally

You get the idea, yes, ask for referrals.

Thanks a lot, we are not big company but I think we can handle few doctors offices to start with. I appreciate all these great ideas. Is it a good idea to schedule a regular lunch (say first Monday of the month) or just whenever kind of thing.
