19.5 briggs and stratton on craftsman mower. Original problem of having to put choke on and off due to float sticking. Overhauled carb and vacuum operated fuel pump on front of carb. Has new fuel lines and fuel filter, clear from tank to carb. Fuel pump goes together only one way. Vacuum is correct.fuel cap OK still no fuel going inside carb. Any suggestions

Remove the bowl to confirm that the float drops and the needle valve allows fuel to enter the bowl. If the needle is down and there is still no fuel you are back to the vac. How did you confirm that the vac was OK?

Took the top of carb off,new float and valve move freely, talked to B & G hotline, fuel pump overhaul kit that I used was installed properly, they feel that the fuel pump itself(probably the check valve in it)has failed. If we try to blow air from the fuel filter no air enters the carb. Could be the pump decided to quit, strange things happen.

Found problem. We had switched vacuum line and fuel line. According to Briggs and Stratton hotline we were not the 1st to make this goof. Mower runs great now
