Hello all
I did not file my return in 2006. I am filling now, and the IRS sent me my form by fax. I do not have any W2's. Only a 1099-c and a 1098-e. How in the world do I fill out my tax information? Do I need a 1040? Do I need a 1099-c or a 1098-e form as well? I am so confused and wish I would have filled on time. Please advise...

Why did you get 1099-C and 1098-E?
If 1099-C is cancellation of debt. Report as other income on line 21 of Form 1040.

If 1098-E is student loan interest payment. It is deduction on line 33 of Form 1040.

Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to ask for a tax transcript for 2006 to be sure these forms are your only tax forms on record.

AtlantaTaxExpert is right on the money.
It is best to call the IRS and get a transcript of all of your earnings for that year and that way you will know "ALL" of your wages so you can file a proper tax return.
After you get the copies from the IRS, you can use them to file with or you can also contact the companies you worked for and have a duplicate sent to you so you can file using that that way you can also file the state income taxes if needed.
You do need to file for an extension with the IRS so you will not be penalized as much if any.
