I got my cartilage pierced about a week ago. It still hurts, is this normal or is it infected?

It is normal. If it is infected you might feel a hard "ball" around it, it would be red, and might have pus coming out of it.

Thanks, but there is a little ball in the back.. where the peircing goes through.

Well its not a ball, but its like going through it. Maybe its just the skin. Or the ear itself.

Sounds normal to me. Just a week later you are still going to feel irritation. Just make sure you take care of it and make sure it is clean.
