Hi my friend violated probation by not appearing. She says the probation office switched probations officers and was told they would call her back and never did. She was arrested on the charge. Will we be able to bail her out or does she go directly to jail to complete that time giving to her?
Thanks

Hello Y:
Ordinarily, there isn't any bail for probation violation. She'll sit in jail till her hearing. They might reinstate her, or they might make her do some, if not all, of her time in jail.
You friend SOUNDS innocent enough... But, I'm not buying it... IF her PO didn't call, like your friend says the PO said, your friend should have made the call. She certainly knew they hadn't forgotten her.
I only say this, because if she goes to her hearing blaming her PO, they AIN'T going to like it much, and it'll do her NO good. If, on the other hand, she takes responsibility for the mistake, they might give her another shot.
