I'm trying to find the name of what I think was an animated movie that I watched when I was a kid. It's got a sci fi feel to it and I'll try and describe as much as I can but please remember I was just a kid.

Ok so there's 3 guys trying to save a princess, they each have there own color armor. The red guy is the bad *** and using some sort of staff that extends itself to fight with. The blue guy is the smart one I believe and maybe likes it in the water? The green one is fat and loves to eat and live below the mud. At the beginning they don't know each other and don't like each other but end up working together to save the princess. This is as much as I can remember right now so if you could help me I would really appcrecaite it.

I brought this up with some people I was talking with, and the consensus we've come up with is that it could be a show called "Starzinger"
