I have a hot tob and need help with wiring. In the tob, there is a pump, a swithc in a wall and a sitch in the tab. I need help with the switch in the tab, it has 3 wires, red, white. Does anybody know what each wire does.

Randy, have you ever worked with 240 volts before, you are going to need some additional electrical skills and probably a 240 v 50 amp GFCI and a disconnect.

Depending on the spa manufacturer and if the system is 240v it could be a three wire system or it could be a four wire system. If you have no electrical back ground or knowledge about wiring you should seek the help of a qualified professional. You don't won't to wire the tub wrong and end up burning up the spa or worse burning down your home. I would suggest that you seek the help of a professional.

This does not sound like any sort of factory built tub. From the description I have no idea what is going on. Way too vague for me.

What are the chances we can convince you that this is not a safe job for an inexperienced DIYer to attempt? There is too much at stake with this type of thing!
